What OVA does:
- Governance and resources, OVA assigns a senior lead to coordinate delivery, reviews progress at executive level each quarter, and allocates budget and staff time to actions, data, and training.
- Data and monitoring, OVA collects sex and gender disaggregated data on hiring, pay, progression, attrition, training, and leave, reviews results annually in Q1, and shares a brief yearly summary of progress.
- Training and awareness, all staff complete regular training on respectful conduct and prevention of harassment and discrimination, managers complete additional training on inclusive leadership and bias aware hiring, onboarding covers the code of conduct, reporting channels, and anti retaliation.
- Work life balance and culture, OVA supports flexible work where roles allow, respects rest times and the right to disconnect, applies non discriminatory parental and caregiver policies, and supports return to work.
- Recruitment and career progression, job descriptions use inclusive language, sourcing is diverse, interviews are structured with clear criteria, internal pay bands guide offers, promotion decisions follow transparent criteria, unjustified pay gaps are corrected promptly.
- Leadership and decision making, OVA tracks gender representation at each management level and in decision forums, and adjusts actions to improve balance where needed.
- Safe workplace, OVA enforces zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, maintains multiple reporting channels, conducts prompt and fair investigations, and provides anonymized yearly statistics on cases and outcomes.
- Products, research, and data, when relevant to safety, usability, research, or datasets, OVA considers sex and gender in design, testing, and evaluation, and includes diverse user input.
